Our story, vision and team

Evidence-based education technology from Finland

​GraphoGame traces its origins to research on the early identification and prevention of dyslexia conducted in Finland. In the study, researchers monitored two hundred children to find early-stage predictors of dyslexia. Based on the findings of this 18 year long research project, GraphoGame was born.

The GraphoGame Company 

In 2017, the GraphoGame company arose from the partnership between Finnish education technology company Learning Intelligence Group and University of Jyväskylä, the university behind the research project. As a research spin-off company, GraphoGame continues to develop and launch new evidence-based literacy games with its university collaborators around the world.

Our Mission and Vision

The world has millions of children whose learning stops in their tracks due to difficulties in reading. We are solving this global challenge by uniting universities, game developers and educators to develop effective literacy apps for teachers and parents around the world. 1 in 5 people cannot read, let's put an end to it.

The GraphoGame company is a business based in Helsinki, Finland. With millions of illiterate children and struggling readers in the world, we are dedicated to creating fun and evidence-based literacy tools to help children, parents and teachers for a better and more literate tomorrow!

Our dream is to provide all of our apps for free. But we cannot accomplish this alone. So, we work with foundations, non-governmental organisations and other philanthropic entities to give GraphoGame to all residents of a certain country.
